P.A.S.I. Pumpen und Armaturen Service International GmbH was founded in 2003 with participation of the renowned German pump manufacturer KSB AG and CON-IMPEX HGmbH. The purpose of this company is to develop key sectors of pump and valve applications in Cuba, such as the nickel and power industries and water management together with the leading German pump manufacturer KSB and with the respective technological assistance sales and services.

P.A.S.I. is working in the following areas:

Water supply:

In 2006, P.A.S.I. won a good part of the tenders on the delivery of pump stations intended for the modernization of the drinking water supply mains which is to be carried out with the view on saving energy. Within the scope of this program, 2.600 of the almost 3.000 pumps necessary for the drinking water supply in Cuba will be replaced.

Oil industry:

P.A.S.I. delivered pumps and valves for the refineries in Cienfuegos, Havana and Santiago de Cuba.

Service-centers:

The following service-centers were approved and are currently being developed:

• service center for the central water supply;
• service center for the refineries in Cienfuegos and Havana;
• service center for the nickel industry in Moa/Nicaro.
